Faces of The Cradle
The Cradle is a nonprofit child welfare agency in Evanston, Illinois that provides adoption services, counseling and lifelong support to adoptive families, adoptees and birth parents. In 2023, the Cradle celebrated its 100-year anniversary with a variety of different events spanning several months. These included a birthday bash, the unveiling of a new sculpture honoring birth parents, a fundraising gala and the launch of a multimedia microsite featuring touching stories from people whose lives have been touched by adoption via The Cradle. This initiative was called Faces of The Cradle.
I worked closely on Faces of The Cradle from beginning to end. I drafted the boilerplate and copy on the story submission page and microsite, helped craft the social media posts to collect story submissions and wrote SEO-driven meta descriptions to drive traffic to each story on the finished microsite. In addition to working on Faces of The Cradle, I wrote a press release for the The Cradle’s new birth parent sculpture. Scroll to see it all!
